Seeing that number years ago really hurt my heart.  I didn't realize that I was so large because most of my clothes stretched and apparently, just stretched as I got bigger and bigger.  

In May of 2013, I had emergency back surgery.  I had a severely herniated disc.  I had not had an accident or fall.  My weight caused my back injury.  Years and years of carrying excess pounds literally crushed my spine.  I never wanted weight loss surgery - fear of surgery and fear or after effects.  I call my emergency back surgery my weight loss surgery.  After that surgery is when I truly looked at my health seriously.  My surgeon told me that if I did not get a handle on my weight, I would be back to have the same surgery again.

In January of 2014 I was watching Joel Osteen and he said to stop asking our big God for small prayers.  One of my prayers that day was health.  I did not ask for a specific weight, or for a specific pain to be gone.  I asked God to help me get healthy.  He knows all and he knows what is best.  A few weeks later I stumbled upon JJ Smith's Green Smoothie Cleanse page on facebook and the rest is weight loss history.
